About you

Are you a compassionate and trustworthy person? Do you strive for the best in everything you do, and think you could make a positive difference to lives of autistic and/or neurodivergent individuals? If this sounds like you, and you’re seeking a rewarding job role, we are currently recruiting for a Safeguarding and Welfare Officer to join our Education staff team.

This role will require you to work closely with pupils, their families, your colleagues and external agencies, taking the lead on all safeguarding and welfare matters to ensure the safety and well-being of all of our children and young people. You will need to be enthusiastic, able to use your own initiative, have a drive and resilience for what is often a demanding role; and you must be people-centred with good communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with both staff and pupils.

While you must be qualified and have previous experience in safeguarding young people, it is not essential for candidates to have previously worked with autistic individuals. All we ask is that you are hard-working, willing to learn and committed to promoting the positive development of children and young people.
