Working together to inspire, support, celebrate and equip autistic and neurodiverse people to fulfil their potential in life.

We have been celebrating Anti Bullying Week at Mackenzie Thorpe Centre, with lots of activities looking at building friendships and being kind to each other.

Class 4 made a friendship chain and wrote kind things about each other on the links. We focused on appreciating each other’s talents and giving genuine compliments.

Children in pre 14 have been learning some new team games in PE and invited other classes to join in. We have played dodge ball, stuck in the mud and parachute games and focused on working together to be the best possible team, as well as good sportsmanship.

For kindness week, children in Class 2 looked at giving compliments to fill up our emotional buckets. We read this lovely book about how positive and negative comments can impact us and then wrote kind things about each other to fill up our real life buckets.
