Employment FuturesEmployment Futures exists to help remove barriers to meaningful employment for autistic adults and/or those with learning difficulties. Home About us About Employment Futures Our Impact Our Programmes Individuals Finding work Support in work Student Mentoring Service Employers Support for employers Contact Us Looking to start up placements? As the leading voice concerning autism and neurodiversity in the North-east, we are passionate advocates for nurturing the skills and talents of autistic people and/or those with a learning disability. Becoming a more inclusive employer will enable you to access untapped skills and talents. We want to collaborate with employers who wish to provide quality placements. We will work with you every step of the way to ensure together we create a positive experience for the young people we support. A Kickstart Scheme application must be for a minimum of 30 job placements. If a single employer cannot provide this many job placements, they can find a Kickstart gateway, such as a local authority, charity or trade body for help applying. Further funding is available which will cover the costs of the training and support we provide so that the young people on the scheme can thrive in their new working environment. You can apply online to take part in the Kickstart scheme at gov.uk. Contact the Employment Futures team for more information and find out how we can support employers.
