As part of Learner Voice, learners requested to celebrate Halloween as part of the college's timetable of annual events. Thornbeck ended the first half of the term with a range of Halloween themed activities including:

• Pumpkin carving
• Cooking a range of Halloween themed treats as part of a buffet lunch
• Decorating the college environment with Halloween decorations
• Participating in a range of social activities including karaoke

Participating in the planned activities provided learners the opportunity to have fun, develop their social communication skills and promoted the development of meaningful friendships with their peers.
