Eleanor Enjoys Flower Shop Work Experience

Eleanor, a Class 2 learner at Emsworth, has successfully completed their first day at her work experience placement at a local Door-To-Door flower shop, where she impressed staff with her enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

During her time at the shop, Eleanor helped with a range of simple tasks including sorting flowers, preparing basic arrangements, and organising materials for deliveries. She also observed how orders are processed and taken out to customers across the local area, giving her an insight into how a small business operates.

The placement formed part of a school initiative aimed at introducing learners to real-world experiences. Eleanor demonstrated confidence, curiosity, and a positive attitude throughout, quickly adapting to the shop environment and working well alongside staff.

The experience provided Eleanor with an opportunity to develop practical skills, build confidence, and gain a better understanding of teamwork and responsibility, while also contributing positively to the day-to-day running of the shop.
