This is a FREE service for families looking for support, advice and information.

Trained autism practitioners will deliver sessions that aim to:

  • provide a safe place where families can talk openly and spend time with others who may be in a similar situation.
  • provide information, advice and signposting in relation to families and their needs.

Groups run fortnightly.

Durham Group

  • The group meet every other Thursday, from 10.00 - 11.30am
  • Bullion Lane Family Centre, Gray Ave, Chester-le-Street, DH3 3TF

What families say...

Sometimes our children can find the world very overwhelming and it's difficult as a parent as you don't know how to help them cope. Sometimes you feel alone. When you come to family support groups you realise you're not alone. We provide each other with advice, support and help.

"These groups are so important and are a lifeline for families like me."

Coming to the NEAS family support groups allows me to connect with other families. I can discuss any difficulties I may be facing with others who really understand. It gives us the time to talk, decamp and relax in a safe place.
