Community inclusion trip boosts confidence

Pupils from Mackenzie Thorpe’s Phoenix Red class had a lovely trip last week. They visited Preston Park and Wynyard Woodland park to explore the outdoor environment and access the play equipment. 

All pupils loved this and had a great time. One of our pupils also was able to climb all the way to the top of the tower and go down the slide overcoming his fear of heights! We are all so proud of him!

Taking Phoenix Red to the parks increases their health and wellbeing, along with increasing their physical activity and developing their social skills and community inclusion.
