Each service user has a person centred, comprehensive care plan which has input from a range of professionals, relatives and support staff and if appropriate, the service user themselves. The care plans are written with the person at the center of the plan and values their abilities as well as looking to achieving goals for the future. support plans are continuously reviewed and annual reviews are held with the service user, care professionals and relatives.

Communication preferences are important for all our service users are taken into account including the use of specific communication aids (PECS, Makaton, use of Widgit symbols, talking mats etc.) to stimulate effective communication. Each service has a dedicated key worker which ensures that all staff are aware of any changes or improvements that are made to the communication preferences of each individual.

If service users or relatives are unhappy with any aspect of the service they receive they can contact the managers or they can use the complaints procedures which are available in accessible formats.
