We are a flexible and responsive service which places the service user at the heart of everything we do. We foster a ‘can do attitude’ and empower our service users to achieve. We provide support for families to develop strategies to make things at home that little bit easier. All NEAS staff use a Positive Behaviour Support model to support people in a safe, non-physical way. All staff follow PBS plans that are individual to the person to ensure they understand how to support people in the least restrictive way and encourage self-management of anxiety. All our service users have one key worker as part of their support team Targets are set up and reviewed regularly to ensure we are always striving to help the service users achieve all they can.

Family Support, upholds a vision to support people within their communities, to access the support they need and when they need it.

We will provide three tiers of support:

  1. Emergency
  2. Low level
  3. Planned/Commissioned

Liam found morning’s very difficult due to difficulties transitioning from his house to the taxi. Family Support offered support via a 1:1 worker who implemented a visual timetable and a timer to support the transition. Liam is now able to get into his taxi much quicker and with less anxiety’ His Mum is able to help her 4-year-old get dressed.
