Family support helps to take some pressure off families by providing support to their son or daughter who can take the opportunity to take part in activities that they enjoy while their families are able to also pursue interests known that their son / daughter is safe and cared for.

  • Family Support can help to keep families together until the person with autism chooses to live independently it can enhance a family's ability to meet the many needs of their family member with autism and minimise the need and the cost of out-of home placement.
  • It can support the family to participate in integrated leisure, recreational, and social activities.
  • Family support can make a positive difference in the life of the person with a disability as well as the lives of all family members.
  • Family support will continue to review each service users and their families needs to make sure that they supported to meet their requirements.
