This course aims to improve your basic business administration skills and knowledge. If you are considering a career in the business administration sector this course is a first step towards achieving this. You will develop your office skills alongside communication, ICT and money handling. The course will prepare you for life in office and business administration based roles. What are the entry requirements? You must have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) You must be aged between 16 and 24 You will be invited to spend two days at Thornbeck College where you will participate in taster sessions to check if this is the right programme for you About the programme This programme focuses on preparing you for the next steps in your life. This may be employment leading to supported/open employment, supported internship or volunteering. We will support you to achieve your goals. If you want to develop, the skills needed to prepare yourself for work, develop your independent livings skills, increase your community participation and access further learning; this is the right course for you. We will provide you with a person centred curriculum centred around business administration You will have opportunities to Develop your functional English, maths and ICT skills Develop your practical skills in an office environment Participate in work experience with an employer Become as independent as possible Develop your social communication skills Travel more independently and access a range of community facilities At the end of the programme you will have Developed your practical office skills Accessed a valuable work experience Achieved an appropriate accredited qualification Support Throughout the programme, you will be supported to develop your functional English, maths and ICT skills, including achieving and accredited qualification where meaningful.
