North East Autism Society (NEAS) turns 40 this year and we’re very excited to be sharing our anniversary with you! For 40 years, we’ve led the way in providing autism-specific care and education for children, young people and adults across the North-East of England.
We passionately believe that autistic children and adults have significant skills and strengths, which can be developed throughout their lifetime. Our approach is to support our autistic people to participate in society as independent and valued citizens, enjoying equal rights and opportunities but also enriching the world around them.
We would love for you to take part in our 40th anniversary virtual events #40for40 – our year-long milestone campaign that is packed full of events and challenges – whilst promoting autism acceptance and raising vital funds for our regional charity.
May 2020 marked the start of our 40th anniversary celebrations, so there is plenty of time for you to get involved and use your activity to make the world of difference for our autistic children, young people and adults.
We want to see just how big and cheesy your smile can be! To take part in this challenge, you just need to grab your phone, take a huge smiling selfie and make a donation – you don’t even need to leave your couch! Read more
