Thornbeck College

Thornbeck College is an Independent Specialist College providing personalised programmes to autistic and neurodivergent individuals

Working together to inspire, support, celebrate and equip autistic and neurodivergent people to fulfil their potential in life.

At Thornbeck College we believe excellent careers guidance ensures there is equality of opportunity. It unlocks potential and transforms outcomes for learners.

Our careers strategy is based on the vision and values for Preparing for Adulthood and the Gatsby Benchmarks.

We will strive for a culture of having the right advice, in the right place, at the right time – backed up by the experiences with employers and educators that make a difference.

At Thornbeck College we want all learners to:

  • Understand the full range of opportunities available to them, to learn from employers about work and the skills that are valued in the workplace and to have first-hand experience of the workplace, through external visits and sheltered employment opportunities.
  • Receive an excellent programme of advice and guidance that is delivered by individuals with the right skills and experience.
  • Have support tailored to their personal needs. All learners to access free face-to-face advice, with more bespoke support for those who most need it.
