Dedicated staff from Tesco’s at The Bridges in Sunderland raised £250 from a bag pack at their store for Thornhill Park School.

Staff and young people from our school went to the store with Pawsum the Panda, our mascot to personally thank staff for the generous donation.

Anne Edwards, Community Champion for Tesco said; “It is with great pleasure to help support and raise not only money but awareness in our community, of the great work the school does for young people with autism.”

Thornhill Park School is an independent specialist school who support children and young people with autism aged 4-19 years old and is ran by the North East Autism Society.

Christine Cave, Head Teacher at NEAS said; “We’re extremely grateful to the staff at Tesco’s for their support and to the generosity of the shoppers for their kind donations. Money raised from the bag pack will help fund new outdoor leisure equipment for our students.”
