Congratulations to the winners of our 'Making Maths Visible' society competition!

At North East Autism Society, we are innovative at embedding maths into everyday activities and in ways in which our people can understand. We asked our services to take part in a competition and make maths visible by creating an object using maths and numbers.

Entries were judged on whether visible numbers could be seen on the structure or item, and whether a practical application of maths was used.

The competition was close, and all entries were an incredibly high standard.

Our CEO, John Phillipson, judged the competition with the help of the finance team.

The three winners were:

  • Thornhill Park School in first place for their maths video.
  • New Warlands Farm took second place for their odd and evens number artwork.
  • Dunelm Adult’s Residential home came third with their cookies maths puzzle.

Well done to the winners and to everyone who took part!
