Throughout the summer holidays NEAS are working in partnership with the Sunderland Empire Theatre to deliver autism friendly art activities inspired by the National Theatre Production ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’.

Below is a list of art activities taking place (10 - 14th) August:



Monday 10th August, 1-4pm – FILM

With No Limits Theatre, are offering autism friendly taster sessions in drama, dance and visual art. Go to two or more workshops and work towards an ‘Arts Award Discover’ certificate!

Tuesday 11th August, 1 – 4pm - Art Workshop

Drop in for the autism-friendly workshop every Tuesday throughout the summer holidays. There will be different activities each week.

Thursday 13th August, 11am – Insight Session*

As hosts of the amazing National Theatre production, ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’ Sunderland Empire Theatre are delighted to invite all families to learn about the production at an Insight Session, followed by tickets to see the show. Ticket £5pp.

*this is not a relaxed performance; parents/carers are advised to get in touch before attending. Get in touch to request an ASC support pack, including visual stories and familiarisation visits.
