Ever wanted to jump out of a plane? Whether you are a budding dare devil, seasoned adrenaline junkie or just fancy the challenge of a lifetime then look no further for an incredible experience and a great way to fundraise!

With North East Autism Society you can take on a tandem parachute jump with Skydive Academy at Peterlee Parchute Centre. They are located at Shotton Airfield, 10 miles east of Durham city & 2 miles west of Peterlee. For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, a tandem skydive is unlikely to be forgotten! You will be falling at speeds in the order of 120-180 mph.

Criteria for tandem skydive

  • Need to be 16 years older and above, 16 & 17 year olds need parental/guardian consent 
  • Max weight is 15st 7lbs/98kg unseen but we may accept upto 16st 7lbs/105kg after a face to face personal assessment.

The Skydive Centre have multiple dates available throughout the year starting from February to November (weather permitting), so make such you enter your date preference as well.

Step 1:

Select an available date that suits you. Once you have done this you will be asked to pay the Skydive centre a non-refundable £35pp deposit to secure your place. If you wish to be the ultimate thrill seeker and add another 5,000 feet to your jump with up to a minute's free fall then it is a £50pp deposit. You can also book group places, if you would like to share the experience with friends and family.  

Step 2:

One week prior to your jump taking place £160 will need to be paid to the Skydive centre. This is the remaining balance for the cost of your jump.   


We ask that you pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship of £350. The £160 cost for your jump can be taken out of this.
