In October 2018 the phenomenal Autism Activists project was born.

A collaboration between the Thought Foundation, the North East Autism Society and artist Dani Gilbert or iAMi, saw a small group of autistic young people come together to express themselves and to educate society about autism, through protest art. They are using their art to fight against the statements that hurt them most, like autism can be cured.

This exhibition is the culmination of their hard-hitting, truthful and compelling creativity which proudly shouts a message of autism acceptance.
