End of term trips, quizzes, and picnic fun

Blue class’ end of term trip

End of term trips have started this week at the Mackenzie Thorpe Centre, with Blue class choosing to visit the cinema and having a McDonalds dinner!

They all had a great time, they even tried some new foods picking Nachos and Popcorn and enjoyed watching Inside Out!

Blue class have worked so hard this year and really deserved their end of term treat and we loved watching them have so much fun!

Pizzas, picnics, and a day at the beach for Yellow class.

The Mackenzie Thorpe Centre’s Yellow class have been busy. They have been shopping for food for a picnic which they all enjoyed in the sunshine, and have also been making their own pizzas working on their independent living skills and social skills.

They have also been on a school trip to the beach supporting community inclusion and having lots of fun! The pizzas were delicious and all the pupils loved their trip to the beach.

Pupils take part in online quiz contest

This week pupils from the Mackenzie Thorpe Centre all joined an interactive quiz game together, they had to use their IT skills to be able to log on and join the group and then took part in a general knowledge quiz whilst on the computer.

The pupils all did this together, supporting their social interaction and team work targets alongside reaching lots of their computing targets.

The pupils had so much fun while doing this and really enjoyed a competitive afternoon together!
