Thornhill Park School

Victoria's community outing

Victoria has been using symbols whist learning her new routine since transitioning over to Thornhill Park School’s Emsworth site from its Portland site.

Victoria has been trying many different activities within school and hitting her targets to access the local community and become confident when doing so. Victoria has been able to use symbols to be encouraged to access the community.

While accessing the park Victoria saw one of her peers and was able to engage in an activity with her peer, remaining regulated and happy.

Victoria and her peer took turns to shoot the ball through the hoop, taking turns and sharing. Victoria then returned to school remaining happy and regulated through. This is only Victoria’s second time accessing the community on foot and we think is doing an amazing job. Well done Victoria!
