The development of Community Based Services is rapidly expanding and has vacancies for Sessional Activity Support Assistants. We currently have vacancies in North East, Specifically the Gateshead area. The role is to support the delivery of positive activities and learning opportunities to children, young people and adults with Autism and associated challenging behaviours around the North East region. Working independently and as part of a team, you will be experienced in supporting young people to access a range of activities.

With a background in play work, youth work, social care or health, the positions are open to candidates with knowledge of Autism, and some experience in working with behaviours which challenge others. With a sense of humour, you must also be enthusiastic; people centred and possess a flexible approach to working routines. Access to a car would be advantageous.

The hours of work are spread over a 7 day week, with an expectation to work mornings, early evenings and weekends.
